About Me
With over 22 years of experience in teaching CAD, CAM, machining, and product design, I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to my tutoring services. Throughout my career, I have worked with a variety of 3D parametric modeling software, including Fusion 360, Inventor, SolidWorks, MasterCAM, and AutoCAD.
In addition to freelancing, I teach an Advanced Manufacturing Program at the high school level. This role has allowed me to work with a wide range of learners, enabling me to tailor my teaching approach to suit each student's unique needs. With hundreds of lessons and real-world examples at my disposal, I'm equipped to guide you through your educational journey in CAD.
My extensive experience spans all aspects of the manufacturing process—design, drawing, production, assembly, and testing—which makes me particularly skilled in designing for manufacturability. I can help integrate best practices into your designs or explain the rationale behind key decisions to improve the efficiency and feasibility of the manufacturing process.
Beyond CAD, I have over 30 years of hands-on experience running CNC and manual machines, both professionally and as a hobbyist. This experience has given me a deep understanding of workholding, tooling, machining techniques, G-code, CNC controllers, inspection, measuring, and GD&T. I am also proficient in 3D printing, understanding the nuances of preparing designs for additive manufacturing. Whether you need help refining your designs or improving your machining knowledge, I’m confident I can provide theinsights and support you need.

Sometimes our clients want to learn a program from beginning to end; sometimes they completely hand over the services to us; and other times, they want something in between.
Some clients want to be able to use the program on a basic level and let us do the hard stuff. Others want to co-work with us, supervising our work to ensure their artistic vision is realized. Along the way, they may learn some tools of the trade.
By the end of the process, some clients are able to wean themselves completely off of our services and are empowered to do the work themselves. If they get stuck or behind on a deadline, they use us as a lifeline. They can call anytime—even if it’s just a 10-minute question—we are here to help.
